He weilded the Dark Side, but had received no true Sith teaching. I did not mean to imply Malak or any other of the KotOR Sith were any less worthy of their titles than yourself or any of the members of our Empress' Sith. _________________ Dark Patron: Joruus C'Baoth. Darth Acheron Honored Elder Joined: 29 Nov 2005 Posts: 6621 Location: The Sith Military Head Quarters (Really Sydney, Australia) I didn't mean it like that, I just thought you meant Malak was a false Sith, when it was really Ruin's Sith onwards that were false, as Ruin, as far as I know, had no training from a true Sith, and all previous Sith did, in one form or another. _________________

As long as he is ordained, that that problem solved. I amend my statement, all Sith between Ruin and Bane were false Sith, Bane not included, Ruin included. _________________

A couple paragraphs of info on Darth Ruin's life does not tell us whether he was granted the position of Sith Lord by an ancient spirit or he simply assumed the name since no one was disputing him, or whatever else may have happened. So he called upon the Force and explored the Valley of Dark Lords and also found and studied the Darth Revan holocron on the planet Lehon. Which lead to his better understanding of the Dark Side as well as knowing that the ways of the Sith were useless.... "The Brotherhood must be purged. The Sith must be destroyed and rebuilt." Obviously, after succeeding on killing the "old" Sith with the Thought Bomb (genius idea i might add ) and killing many Jedi in the process, he built the New Sith Era and enforced the Rule Of Two. Id also like to add something i found on Wookieepedia which is worth reading: - It is also important to note that Darth Bane is a good candidate to be the Sith'ari, because he destroyed the Brotherhood of Darkness and the generic Sith Order, and replaced it with the Rule of Two, an event, which, eventually, led to the rise of the Empire under the rule of Darth Sidious and the near-extermination of the Jedi.
