This is a pretty out-of-character announcement, so go with the flow.
DSL has tried exhaustive in-character reforms that have caused some clutter. We lack an active staff to clean our existing forum up, and quite frankly we'll never be able to bring existing institutions into line with our new canon.
I have proposed in private and gotten positive feedback the complete transfering of DSL to a paid site. Several investigations are underway to determine the best host of DSL version 2.0 but we're working on it.
I want to apologize for my attempted in-character reforms, as they have led to a lot of the clutter currently haunting us. However, with the move, we'll start afresh.
Also, it is worth mentioning that with the new forum shall come new responsibilites for us all. My ultimate vision is the transformation of our Sith into an Order and reduce our role as an Empire. My proposed course of action is to make a dark empire of non-Force Sensitives and us merely be the Jedi of an evil empire. Fun stuff, eh? 
Anyway, we'll each be able to cultivate two personas, one Sith and one Imperial.
In short: We're moving. All activity to better this place is pretty much in suspension. Preperations are being made to salvage threads and posts relevant to the move. New history and new character guidelines are being written in preperation for the move.
Now, most importantly: Let's prove once and for all we are the superior MFF Star Wars roleplay community.
