.:Ranks and Registry:.
The following is an overview of the Ranks and Positions in the Order. Under each Rank is the name of it's current holder(s). If you have any questions regarding the Ranks, please post them in the Office of Enquiries.
:::Grand Mage:::
The Grand Mage is the Head of the Order of Sith Mages and has overall command of the Order. He/She has to be well versed in all aspects of the Force as well as all aspects of the Order. They are also versed in all Order rules and doctrine. He/She can overrule any decision made by any of his/her subordinates. There can only be one [1] Grand Mage who can only be appointed by the Emperor/Empress. His/Her decisions are final and only the Emperor can overrule him/her.

:::High Mage:::
The High Mage is the Deputy-Head of the Order of Sith Mages, also known as the Second-in-Command. The holder of this rank has proved to be incredibly loyal to the Order and dedicated to their work. There can only be one [1] High Mage and he/she can be appointed by the Grand Mage and/or the Emperor. He/She is the main official to deal with the public and any questions which may be posed.

:::Mage Commissioner:::
The Mage Commissioners are Department Heads in the Order of Sith Mages. Having shown immense loyalty to the Order, participated in many missions and expeditions and having gone to great efforts to improving the Order and Empire as a whole, the holders of this office are tasked with the oversight of missions/expeditions and are charged with department responsibilities within the Order. There can be as many Mage Commissioners as there are departments within the Order. This rank may be granted only by the Grand Mage.

:::Mage Superior:::
The Mage Superiors are the highest non-office rank that one can earn within the Order of the Sith Mages. They are looked to for advice and leadership by sub-ordinates in their respective departments while on expeditions or missions. There can be any number of members holding this rank but to hold it, they must have shown much devotion and loyalty to the Order. This rank may be granted by the Grand or High Mage.

:::Comrade Mage:::
Comrade Mages are the main, and most numerous, members of the Order who participate in expeditions and missions and most often are those who gather the information for the reports made to the Empire. The second rank in the Order, those who hold this rank, have shown loyalty to the Order and who are eager and active in their assignments. There can be any number of these. This rank may be granted by the Grand or High Mage.

:::Mage Entrant:::
The introductory ranks to the Order, this rank is given to those who are successful with their application into the Order. At this rank, the Entrants are usually partnered with a Mage of higher rank and sent on missions and expeditions. Mage Entrants usually spend a probationary period at this position before being considered for promotion. This rank may be granted only by the Grand or High Mage.

:::Arch Protector:::
The Arch Protector is the strong arm of the Mages, charged with leading the security forces of Mage facilities and the personal guard of the Grand Mage. He/She must be skilled in all forms of lightsaber combat and as well as having a powerful mastery over the Force, must be prepared to follow any orders given by the Grand Mage. This rank may be granted only by the Grand or High Mage.

The High Scribe is among the most learned of the Mages. He/She records the history and files the findings of the Order. He/She is in charge of the archives at the Galactic Archives on Naboo and access to the archives is at his discretion. This rank may be granted only by the Grand or High Mage.

:::Dark Custodian:::
The Dark Custodian is an efficient and hard-working Mage. He/She has been entrusted with the care and maintenance of the Mage's stronghold, Dark Ring Station, and, in the absence of the Grand or High Mage, is the station's commander. He/She co-ordinates the day-to-day running of the Station and compiles a biweekly report for the High Mage. This rank may be granted only by the Grand or High Mage.
