Replications of the Office of the Supreme Commander can be found in many of the Military buildings and ships that Lord Marix has graced with his presence, during his tenure as Supreme Commander. The most notable buildings are Military Headquarters: Kuat, Bastion, Hapes, Coruscant, and Corellia. As well as on Darker Intentions, the Executor-Class Super Star Destroyer of the 2nd Imperial Fleet.

While its specific entrance on all of these locations remains different in almost every case, the layout and theme remains the same. The Office fills at least three and a half stories of the building, sometimes more depending on the structure's foundation and space. The main floor resides where the second story of the office would be, right in the vertical middle of the office. Above it, a higher-than-normal ceiling rises, decorated with statues of Supreme Commanders of the past, Lord Marix's Dark Patron Lord Vader, and other Dark Lords of the Sith on pedestals or in holographic form.

The far end of the Office, where Marix's desk and chair are placed, is dominated by windows looking out over the city or into space, depending on the office. Below him, a void down to the first story of the office, just hollow space, or so it appears. The chair, desk, and a small surrounding area consist of a turbolift.

The turbolift can lower Marix down into the first story of the office, where under the main floor is a secret data-chip library, holo-projector, and strategic room. From the strategic room, Marix can assume the command of the Sith Imperial Armed Forces, just as well as he could from a flagship.

Or the turbolift can raise, up into a personal area located on the upper story. The persoanl area consists of a refresher, bed, desk, and other personal items and touches in case of a long day at work. It is nearly inaccessible by outsiders, encrypted by the highest Military encryptions, and like the rest of the office, armored with lightsaber resistant material based around a durable armor plating.

Appointments are almost always made beforehand, unless the matter is extremely urgent, but even then the Supreme Commander has been contacted and notified beforehand.

Supreme Commander Marix stood within his personal area above the public level of his office, looking over the latest update from the 1st Imperial Fleet's refits within the Military Annexation Zone [MAZ]. It had been about a month since the refits had been started, and as he had anticipated, they were behind schedule. Repairing, repainting, refitting, and revamping 5 years or even older Star Destroyers and other space craft took time, and problems were encountered that had not been accounted for in the estimates that the Military's bureaucrats had created for Marix to present to the High Council and Moff Council to defend his orders for the 1st Fleet to pull out of active duty, something which was rare and raised many questions.

Grunting, he switched the data-pad's source over to a data-card containing information on the 8th and 24th Fleets, those under the command of Grand Mage Aequitas, whether directly or indirectly. Darth Aequitas' secretary, Faralla had initiated the meeting, and both parties had agreed upon this date at 1600.

Turning around, he was greeted by the familiar face of his chief aide and potential bodyguard, Darth Ranov'la, which meant Secret in the Warrior language Mando'a.

"Al’ysa, how was your trip?" Markaro asked, referring to the brief period of relaxation, meditation, and vacation on her home planet of Hapes.

"Good, Markaro. The family says hi as well as thank you." Ranov'la replied, but quickly switched back to business mode, there would be time for this conversation when the Supreme Commander's work day was over. "What does today look like?"

"The Grand Mage at 1600 and after that I am free, thanks to my ability to change my schedule on my own, and having the bureaucrats unable to do anything bu grumble." Markaro joked.

"So 5 minutes before the Mage arrives, and you are still up here?"

"He still has to ring in. But we can head down now if you'd like." Marix took his data-pad with him, and closed the door, locking it, behind him after they entered the turbolift. Heading down, he arrived right in time for the 501st Sergeant Major to announce on his commlink that the Grand Mage reported being 5 minutes late due to problems with his speeder.

"See. Told you I had time." Markaro quickly retorted to Al'ysa, who laughed and then took up a position near the main doors, while Marix headed back to his desk.

Aequitas grumbled as his speeder pulled to a stop outside the Military Headquarters. He stayed seated in the back until the driver got out and came to open his door for him. His driver bowed as the Grand Mage stepped out of the speeder with grace and elegance. He stood up straight and brushed down his robes. As he did so, the speeder of his personal bodyguard, supplied by the Royal Guard, also pulled to a stop. Darth Seducta, a Twi’lek stood out and shook her hair. She smiled at the Grand Mage who cleared his throat and headed for the main door. He noticed the many on, and off, duty personnel around the facility.

He looked at Seducta. “You know, I hated that uniform when I was in the Navy. I really think it’s time the Supreme Commander authorised a new uniform. He would look good in pink, no?”

Seducta laughed slightly. “If you say so, my lord, although a baby blue might suit him more. Now sir, I know as a Military man the Supreme Commander is very meticulous about timing. How shall he take your late arrival?”

Aequitas sighed and shook his head. He didn’t want to be her so he would hope it would be painless as possible. “He can take it anyway he likes. I am not one of his men. I am an equal. Besides, I am never late, just as I am never early. I arrive precisely when I mean to.”

The Grand Mage’s bodyguard laughed. “Oh, so the speeder malfunction wasn’t an accident, sir?”

Aequitas looked at her slyly, “My dear, it was bought last week. It was definitely not a malfunction.”

He stopped as she went ahead of him to open the main doors. Immediately, two guards did it for her. They saluted the Grand Mage as he passed them. He looked at Seducta who sported a confused look. “The Supreme Commander enforces the idea that ‘once a Military man, always a military man’. Because I was a Lieutenant Commander, and because I received an Honourable Discharge, the men are instructed to salute me. Besides, they would probably salute the Emperor’s Krayt Dragon if it walked in.”

He cleared his throat as he approached the secretary. “Asking me for identification is foolish. You know who I am. Darth Marix is expecting me. I am not a patient man so I expect to see him without delay.”

The secretary paused, unsure of what to do. She did very little work and was really only there for show. Most of the contact work was done by the 501st and 41st Legionnaires that were always present when the Supreme Commander was in the office, as well as a smaller group that was there when he wasn't.

Sergeant Major Nax appeared from behind the wall that separated the Secretary's desk from the entrance to the Supreme Commander's Office.

"Grand Mage, you will respect the security procedures in place here. They protect not only the Supreme Commander, but yourself." His voice sounding slightly electronic from his uncalibrated helmet mic, but he would attend to that later, and still retaining its edge.

Two more armored men moved out from behind the wall, with scanning equipment, ready to check the Grand Mage and his aide for anything intended to harm the Supreme Commander.
"Do you submit?" Sergeant Major Nax asked the two outsiders.

Aequitas rolled his eyes. “Look, soldier. If I wanted to harm the Supreme Commander, you would not be able to stop me. But do you honestly think I would schedule an appointment to do so?” He sighed. “For your information, before you even attempt to scan me for weapons, I am an Order Head, if I see fit, I am allowed to carry a weapon anywhere I go except before the Emperor. As such, the lightsabers I possess will remain on my person. Moreover, you will not order me to respect anything, I am a Sith Lord and Order Head. Even if I were still in the Military, as a Lieutenant Commander, I would outrank you”, he added, noticing the insignia on the officer’s arm.  He looked at Seducta expectantly. She nodded and held up her arms, allowing herself to be scanned.

He sighed. “Anyway, I’d still have the Force. In addition, believe me, I am extremely apt in that regards. I prefer it to the more...barbaric means.” He looked at the soldier, “Now, Sergeant Major, run along and tell your boss I’m here.”

He looked at Seducta, “This is absurd; trying to scan me.  Understandable, of course, security and all that, but why would I want to harm the Supreme Commander. And if I wanted to, I never draw my saber.”

He looked at the army man who was still standing there. “Is there a problem?”

[[Hope you don't mind my small use here, but it makes it more interesting.]]

"Yes there is, Lieutenant Commander." A voice came from behind him. Darth Ranov'la, when she sensed and heard Nax's report of a problem, headed out and around to the front of the building, coming up to stand behind Aequitas and his companion.

"Who are you?" The Grand Mage asked.

"Colonel Ranov'la."

"Well Colonel," Aequitas snarled out the rank, "I am a Sith Lord and Order Head, and..." He was cut off by yet another voice.

"So am I." The dark tone of the Supreme Commander emitted into the ruckus. "And yet if in your Office, I was asked to submit to a security check, unless the situation was dire, I would let the trained professionals do their job."

With a small glance at the Colonel, she melted out of sight, back into his office. The Sergeant Major did not, however leave.

"No one ever said that your lightsabers had to leave your person, they are probably the least concerning weapon you could have, considering I, as well as Darth Ranov'la are both Sith Battle Masters, and could beat you in any saber game you wished to play at. It is other items that concern us, vials of chemicals, hold-out blasters, pointed sticks, explosives, you get the point."

Turning, Lord Marix waved the Grand Mage into his office. "Next time, try not to create such a scene."

Aequitas looked around. “You would be wise to teach your sub-ordinates some respect. Also, the assumption that your Colonel could defeat me in a saber match is an underestimation of my power.” He stood where he was. “Furthermore, I shall not be waved into your office, Supreme Commander. You would not wave the Supreme Prophet or the Shadow Protector in. I am no longer a member of the Military and, as such, will not be treated as such or addressed as such.”

He looked at Seducta. “Next time, remind me to actually bring explosives. Although the Supreme Commander should know by now I’m too ‘high and mighty’ to do things myself”. She smiled slightly. The Grand Mage looked back at the arrogant military man. “My Office is under strict instructions not to search any Order Head that enters unless we are in a state of emergency. Assumptions, Darth Marix, while maybe commonplace in the Military, do not sit well in real life.”

He stepped forward. “Now, Darth, I shall have my bodyguard present with me at all times. Since you are so obsessed with security, I request it. Besides, I notice you were not been scanned. I could be in danger; and according to your Sergeant Major, we don’t want that.”

"My subordinates respect those who respect them. And it was not an assumption. But you are not here to fight. Though I must ask, if assumptions don't sit in real life, then why do you assume that I would not wave the Supreme Prophet or the Shadow Protector into my office?

"The Office of the Mages and the Military are not the same, Grand Mage, and you will not compare the two like that again. Just because your office does not have impartial security measures, does not mean that it is the better way. Many Sith Lords have been betrayed by other Sith Lords.

"Assumptions are hardly commonplace in the Military. If you had been a member a little longer and actually served in active duty, you would have seen that. If anything, assumptions are more common place in your area of work, as you assume about the potential of a planet.

Supreme Commander Marix stepped into his office. "That is fine. I am sure you have trained her to keep the matters secret, but the same shall apply to me. My protection shall also be assured by a physical presence. You did not see me scanned, because I have already entered the office, and therefor have been cleared. Now, perhaps we get to the actual purpose of our meetings?"
