Sith and Sithlings,
The Holocron for so very long as been left unchanged and has now become in dire need of refurbishment. As such, as High Historian, I am implementing the following changes:
1. As the site’s official canon date is being decided on, we cannot officially set a date for the Holocrons we use. As such, the following system will be used:
Until the official date has been set, all Holocron entries from the creation of the site will have the following format: Day.Month.Year. The day will be the actual real life date the Holocron is posted. For convenience, the Eastern American Time Zone date will be used, so all users not in this time zone must either subtract or add on the number of hours needed i.e. if a user in GMT posts a Holocron on 14th July at 00:13, he/she must use the date 13.7 in his/her Holocron. Please Note: DD.MM.YY not MM.DD.YY.
The month will be also be the same, but because the site was created in December 2005, December ’05 will be month 01, January ’06 will be month 02 etc. This will continue to November 2007 where November ’07 is month 12. December ’07 is month 01 again. (i.e. just add one to the month)
In the case of the year, the year will be the year 84. However, when we enter a new year, i.e. every December, until the new date is set up, we will enter 84,#. So, December ’05 to November ’06 is 84,0. December ’06 to November ’07 is 84,1 etc. So, the date 14th July 2008 is 14.8.84,2. This is pronounced as the fourteenth of the eight, eighty-four mark two.
Users have until July 1st to make the changes. If by then the changes have not been made, a PM will be sent giving the user 3 days to make the changes. If by then the changes have not been made, the changes will be made by a MOD or Admin.
2. From the 20th June 2009, all Holocron discussion threads will be removed. This clutters up the forum and is quite unnecessary. A single discussion thread will be created for this purpose. If a member wishes to criticise, admire or question a Holocron, they may do so here.
3. All Holocrons will be titled “The Personal Holocron of” and then you enter your name. To ensure lack of clutter, only those of Master 1st Degree and higher are permitted to keep a Holocron. If those under said rank wish to keep a Holocron, for training purposes etc, they must contact the High Historian first. Those under said rank who have already created a Holocron are permitted to continue using it.
4. Everything in a Holocron MUST be In Character. If something of an Out-Of Character nature is found to be in a Holocron, that Holocron owner will be contacted and asked to remove the OOC subject.
If anyone has any questions, please do not hesitate to PM me.
