New Policy: Dual Accounts

By now, several key conversations have taken place in public and private that have helped shape a new policy regarding users holding a dual account. That is to say, an active profile on both DSL and Rebels that advances in the rank structure.

And while it is no short of a tragedy that the Jedi leadership shall be exerting in-character punishment over an out-of-character choice to retain a dual account on this site as a Sith, DSL shall still accept any member wishing to roleplay as a Sith with the benefits Rebels does not want you to have.

Our system of Orders, Schools and subcouncils make this forum a unique experience that I shall not deny anyone simply because Rebels thinks it is impractical.

There have been dual accounts in the past, many of which I have personally suppressed, and upon closer examination of the results, a person can and has safely juggled more than one persona on more than one forum without problem.

I cannot stress enough how important it is to maintain healthy ties with our sister site. This issue shall not divide our two forums and I shall not accept your criticisms towards it. While their misguided actions have the potential to stifle good roleplay and fellowship, our two forums have always managed to find a mutually beneficial arrangement, before today. As such, any Jedi here or wishing to be here as a rank-worthy Sith may do so without fear of Rebels. DSL shall hold all users retaining a Rebels account with the utmost secrecy.
