Sovereign Defender
The leader of the Imperial Royal Guard, the Sovereign Defender is the highest rank in the Royal Guard. They report only to the Darkest Knight and the Emperor.
High Defender
The second-in-command of the Guard and the Sovereign Defender's right-hand man or woman. The High Protector is the chief of staff for the Guard.
Royal Guardsman II
The elite guards assigned to the Royal Family or directly to the Emperor/Empress - or a senior assassin and warrior of the Covert Operations Office.
Royal Guardsman
The standard member of the Guard and the backbone of the Order. These men will be assigned to locations rather than people. Guarding the Palace, Throne Room, Imperial Retreats, and buildings special to the Empire on foreign worlds - or an agent of the Covert Operations Office.
Apprentice Guardsman
This is the Initiate Rank for the Guard. Members must spend at least two weeks at this position and must be approved by the High or Sovereign Defenders before advancement onto the rank of Royal Guard.
Secondary Positions Director of Covert Operations
In charge of all the secret missions the Royal Guard runs for the Emperor/Empress personally, this person is the leader of the Covert Operations Office and commander of the Shadow Guards.
Shadow Guard
Operatives of the Department of Covert Operations. These personnel carry out orders given to them by the Director of Covert Operations. These personnel are trained in stealth and secrecy. To Apply for this position, the applicant must be at least the rank of Royal Guardsman.
Sergeant at Arms
The Sergeant at Arms (SaA) is in charge of security for a specific person/location and is the on-site commander of the Guard.
